Abstract
We profiled stool samples from 214 patients with metastatic melanoma before starting anti-PD-1 therapy. Higher Shannon diversity and enrichment of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii were associated with improved progression-free survival. A 12-taxa signature classified responders with an AUC of 0.81 in an independent validation cohort, suggesting the pre-treatment microbiome carries actionable prognostic information.
